10 Reasons you Might be Overdue to See the Dentist

1.You have bad breath.

Bad breath can be a sign of a range of infections or health issues, so it’s important not to ignore the problem by brushing TWICE A DAY!

2.Your gums bleed while flossing.

Only 22% of the American population claim to floss daily. Do you?? If not, you definitely need to!

3.Your gums bleed while brushing.

Three out of four patients do not change their toothbrush as often as it is recommended! What is the recommendation you ask? Toothbrushes should be changed every two to three months AND after ANY illness!

4.You have tooth pain.

Roughly 78% of Americans have had at least one cavity by the age of 17. If you are experiencing any pain, you need to get it checked out!

5.You have diabetes or are at risk.

Serious gum disease may have the potential to affect blood glucose control and contribute to the progressions of diabetes.

6.Your gums are puffy and swollen.

Swollen gums can be a sign of gum disease, and more that 3/4 of American adults over age 35 get gum disease!

7.You have tartar buildup.

This crusty deposit creates a strong bond that can only be removed by a dental professional (US!)-so have you teeth cleaned professional every 6 months!

8.Your teeth are yellowing.

Plaque, a sticky bacteria, begins forming on teeth 4 to 12 hours after brushing, which is why it is so important to brush and floss daily.

9.Your teeth are stained.

Teeth can become stained by a number of things: food and drinks, age, genetics, environment, medications, or trauma. If you LOVE coffee like we do, we can help you with that!

10.You have chronic health issues/diseases.

Poor oral hygiene is a leading cause for diseases along with an unhealthy diet, tobacco use, and harmful alcohol use.
